What is the best exercise to get more muscle tone and/or chest tone?
I mean answer either question, best exercise for arm muscle tone? best exercise for chest tone?
Thanks
ok, there is no best exercise for making one part of your body toned….this is called spot reducing (as in a way to get rid of fat in only one area)…you will not get rid of belly fat by doing sit ups…people often think this but it is not true! you lose weight from all over your body at times of caloric deficit….also, if u want to have better looking arms and chest, go for bench press for chest mass and butterflys for tone….go high weight low reps for mass and go light weight and high reps for tone/endurance…finally, if u want to look good, work all muscles
as this will take off the fat overlying the muscles….so to recap..just doing chest and arm exercises will not help your muscle tone (only make these muscles larger)….they will still have same layer of fat over them so u will need to do cardio to lose some body fat….for six pak, u do not need to do thousands of situps…just lose body fat..by building larger muscles, u can burn more calories and thus end up burning more fat (as long as you are not overeating ) also, increase your protein intake to 1 g per lb of body weight and break this up into 5 or 6 meals a day…so if u weight 150 lbs then take 150 grams of protein a day (up to 200 grams a day if u would like) divided into 5 meals is 30 g of protein per meal (or about the amount in a small chicken breast… like on a sandwich from mcdonalds (grilled, not
fried)…..YOU CANT SPOT REDUCE!
oh one more thing..above, nighttrainwo is wrong!!!!!.if u want to work you UPPER CHEST…. u use incline bench press and butterflys…. the LOWER chest, u use decline bench and flys….also, use dips for lower chest and triceps….for biceps use standing barbell curl, seated dumbell curls, and preacher curls….also do what is called a hammer curl for your brachialis muscle

Bench press works the best, but if you want to work your upper chest use a declined bench press. If you want to work the bottom of your pecks, use and inclined press.

Eating and compound movements are key if you want to build muscle tone. Bench press, squats, pull ups, push ups, bicep curls, calve raises, and triceps extensions to name a few. See the site under sources to find out how much you need to eat. Good luck.
