What’s the best exercise for pectoral(chest) muscles?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Becasue of my high blood pressure, my doctor says that I shouldn’t bench press or do any heavy lifting anymore. I still want to bulk up for the summer and sports.

What’s the best exercise that I can do to help bulk up my chest? Arms?
(I don’t have free weights)
Should I do it everyday?

push ups. it’s calisthenic (uses your own body weight) so it might be okay.

Does cycling reduce stomach and chest fat?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

My legs are okay, i’m happy with them, but above the waist i’m not happy with. My stomach is fat and so is my chest and I’m sure it’s not healthy. Would cycling reduce fat in these areas or does it purely work the legs only? And does cycling help get rid of cellulite?

Fat is stored fuel. Eat less than you need to power your day, the extra fat gets used up over time.

Exercise can help the process by increasing your fuel requirements.

Exercise strengthens muscles, but has no direct on fat in that area. Fat gets used more or less evenly from all over the body.
